stopping time

Last night as Clint, Cait and Sam were off to their respective church activities, Jake and Maddie and I changed into our pajamas and cuddled under the blankets (albeit with our feet sticking out and the fan on--it is Arizona) in my bed and watched our favorite family show, Wipeout, together. A couple of Jake's friends stopped by to ask him if he wanted to go on a McDonald's ice cream run with them. Jake said no, he'd rather stay with us. Sigh. I love these kids.

If I could pick any superhero power to have, I wouldn't pick super strength or invisibility (although those would be nice to have). I would pick the ability to freeze time. And then I'd stop time right now.

I so know how you feel! Especially since kelsi is in school. The days really fly and you only have a few hours left in the day before it is over :(
btw, kickbox left me dead to the world today....

You're such a good mom, Mary. I don't think my kids would ever choose me over McDonald's icecream. What a perfect evening for you guys!
